Audit Commission inspection
The services provided by Abbeyfield UK are ‘fair’ with promising prospects for improvement, according to the Audit Commission’s independent report released in October 2007. Inspectors visited Abbeyfield during July 2007 to look at the service provided to residents.

Five dedicated Abbeyfield volunteers receive Prince of Wales’s Award
Five Abbeyfield volunteers received the Abbeyfield Society’s Royal Patron’s Award in London on 28th March 2007.
His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, as the Society’s Royal Patron, gives the Awards each year to a small number of Abbeyfield volunteers from across the country who have shown particularly dedicated and inspired service to the Abbeyfield Society, usually over a considerable number of years.
